George

Alright, how’s it going? I’m George, one of the masterminds (a generous term) behind Spooky Competitions.

I’m a proper Bedworth lad, born and bred. In fact, I’ve never actually escaped. I still live right here in town, where I’ve somehow convinced my brilliant other half to stick around and put up with me, our beautiful daughter, who is the real boss of the house, and our dog, Lola, who acts like she’s the CEO.

So, what’s the spooky origin story? Did I have a ghostly vision in the middle of the night? Not quite. The truth is, a couple of friends of mine started their own competition site a few years back, and I basically thought, “Hang on, that looks way more fun than what I’m doing. I’m having a piece of that!”

But seriously, seeing them donating to charities, sponsoring local sports clubs, and phoning people up to tell them they’d won life-changing money was just incredible. I knew right then I wanted to be the one making those calls. Being able to donate to charity and help out our local community is a massive driving factor for me, the thought of making a difference is all you can ask for and is so rewarding. The fact that after 1 month of launch we were able to donate even £200 felt great especially when our community picked the charities.

That, and let’s be brutally honest, the other major motivation is the dream of a job where I don’t come home looking like a dusty snowman who’s just lost a fight with a wall. Swapping the plastering trowel for the thrill of a prize draw seemed like a brilliant trade. My washing machine is already thanking me 😂.

I knew I couldn’t do it alone, so I dragged my mate Sunny into the madness with me! Sunny is the other director and creator here at Spooky Competitions. We already spend our days wrestling with plaster and render together at my business, G Green Plastering & Rendering Ltd, so when this idea took hold, he was the person I asked to join the journey.

So now, by day we’re the plastering duo, and by night (plus every other spare second we can find), we’re here, lining up spooktacular prizes for you lot. It’s a caffeine-fuelled chaos, but we absolutely love it.

Every ticket you buy helps us grow this community and gets us one step closer to retiring our dust masks for good. So, on behalf of our lungs, thank you for being here and joining the adventure!

Sunny

Alright then. Since Georgie boy has decided to drop me in it and out me as his partner in crime, I suppose I’d better say hello. I’m Sunny, the actual brains and beauty behind this whole Spooky operation 😉

I’m a West Brom lad. As for my partner-in-crime, George? Think of our relationship as a work-marriage gone rogue. He’s the chalk to my cheese, but together, we’re a team to be reckoned with. We like to think we’re the undisputed cream of the crop… Okay, fine, maybe not undisputed just yet, but trust me, we’re working on it.

Away from the madness, I’m a massive family man – which is just a nicer way of saying I’m a proud mummy’s boy. My incredible other half is the calm at the centre of my often-chaotic world, and honestly, she’s the real winner for putting up with me.

Our journey here has been a strange one. We spent years working together in the plastering trade, so when George pitched the idea for “Spooky Competitions,” I was very hesitant . But I know how well we work as a team, and it didn’t take long for me to see the vision. I jumped on board and have never looked back.

But here’s the real reason this matters so much. While giving away amazing prizes is a huge buzz, the heart of this venture for me is the chance to do something truly meaningful. I’m incredibly passionate about supporting charities and have personally seen the life-changing work they do for families. The thought that Spooky Competitions can play even a small part in supporting their mission is the ultimate prize.

So, what’s next? We’re just getting warmed up. We have massive plans to take Spooky Competitions to the next level – we’re talking dream cars, luxury holidays, and even houses. This is more than just a competition site; it’s a community we’re building, and the journey is going to be one for the books. Stick with us!
